Abstract: Under the background of gradual deterioration of ecological environment, increasing awareness of environmental protection, and more and more serious invasion of harmful plants and on the basis of the systematical summarization of experience and lessons of the slope revegetation in Japan, researchers of slope revegetation research board of Japan Society of Revegetation elaborated on problems existing in revegetation and gave systematic and comprehensive countermeasures related to many aspects including the background,definition, terminology, goal, process, design, construction, management of natural nearly revegetation of slopes. This paper is one of the theoretical papers with epochal meaning in the filed of revegetation in Japan and will have great influence on theory and technology development of revegetation in the future.
