Abstract: The paper analyzes ecological environmental influences of the construction and the operation on the road, and initially establishes the road environmental evaluation index system. By using the expert marking method and the AHP to carry on the analysis, screening, and optimization of the index, the road environmental evaluation index system is finally formed, which includs 2 broad headings ( natural environmental target and social environmental target), and 17 single sub-targets. The road environmental evaluation index model is constructed by adopting the expert marking method，the AHP and the fuzzy comprehensive judgment. Applied to the empirical study on the road ecological environment in Mentougou District, this model carries out the holistic evaluation on the synthetic appraisal of the general road environmental conditions in Mentougou District. The results show that the index and the method can reflect the environment. The paper has carried on the theory and applied research to the environmental evaluation index system of road，and the method and conclusion may provide the reference for the road ecological environmental appraisal.
