Abstract: According to vegetation restoration practice in dumping site of open coal mine in Huolinhe in the past few decades and the field investigation and observation in recent years, as well as combining domestic and foreign reclamation achievement, we put forward a set of suitable vegetation restoration and reconstruction techniques for Huolinhe River opencast coalmine dump. This techniques cover dumping site finishing, topsoil coverage, stabilization of dumping site and management of slope, selection of plant species, establishment of planting types, and relevant technical requirements of planting and management. It will play an important role in vegetation restoration and reconstruction for open coal mine of grassland area.
