Abstract: Having analyzed the heavy metal concentrations in the coal gangue as well as the soil,water,atmosphere and the plants nearby,we have found that: 1) the majority of our countries' coal gangue belongs to the ordinary solid rejects and the heavy mental elements doesn't exceed too much of the standard;2) the coal gangue doesn't have much influence on the soil,water and atmosphere in the neighborhood,neither does it suit cultivating food products;3) most of the vegetables grown on the restored gangues lands contain more heavy metal elements than allowed.
