Experience of Construction and Management on Loess Plateau Watershed Rehabilitation Project of Soil and Water Conservation by the World Bank Loan

Loess plateau watershed rehabilitation project implemented from 1994 (project I ) has been carried out by the Chinese government in a large scale for comprehensive development and treatment in soil and water conservation on loess plateau by the World Bank loan. In the past eight years, the project had produced great achievement. A lot of experiences, such as previous works of project, management system building, management of plan and finance, farmers' participation, supervision of project, broadcasting of science and study, training to folk, is obtained for reference and study.
