Application of greening cage brick in ecologic restoration of roads slope in Mentougou

Greening cage brick was used for the first time to restore the rock slope due to roads construction in the northern region．The result shows that：Cage brick technology is suitable for climate conditions of north China. Vegetation has survived in winter and grown very well，and been developing toward natural plant communities while there are native species invasive growth gradually.However，there are a number of key technologies needed to be solved yet，such as water retention of brick cage，brick cage harden and the base material ratio，so that the cage brick technology more suited to the climate in north China.
