Techinques and methods of landscape designs along roads in desert regions of Xinjiang：A case study for a rebuilding engineering project of No．315 national highway from Yecheng to Moyu

Based on the analysis of landscapes and present planting conditions along roads in desert regions of Xinjiang，the necessity，principle and demands of the landscape designs along the roads in desert regions were pointed out. Meanwhile various design ideas of the landscape were discussed．Some ideas to optimize the landscape were emphasized，such as“without destruction is the greatest protection”“resource saving”．These ideas provided important evidences for the landscape design and ecological protection in desert regions．
