Classification of slope is an important component of engineering and theory of slope protecting．Different classification system of slope is the basis of knowing slope in different.point of view．However，slope stability is most essential element. Based on the slope stability，classification system of slope is summarized according to different classifying criteria. These criteria include slope configuration，constitute matter，airslaking degree，slope height，slope gradient，relation between slope strike and strata，slope aspect，slope deformation，cause of formation，and so on. The characteristic and relativity with stability is reviewed and discussed in paper.
